Should probably still take a few lessons from this period. I am completely self-taught, do not pick up a golf club at age 18, did not start playing until the age of 23 with a couple of years in between.
I work part time on a golf course last spring as much as I wanted, which about 12 shots a game before my very best to me at mid-80s was played with great regularity. Not so good, I know, but I love the game if the score is the most important part of a round of golf for me.
